BREAKING: You are ignorant – Obasanjo fires back at Buhari

Obasanjo and Buhari at State House
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has responded to the suggestion by President Muhammadu Buhari that the administration he (Obasanjo) led between 1999 and 2007 wasted $16billion on power projects without anything to show for it.

Mr. Buhari had while receiving a delegation of Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) at the Presidential Villa Tuesday criticised previous Nigerian administrations for “lack of imagination.”
In what appeared a direct reference to Mr. Obasanjo, the president said “one of the former Heads of State between that time was bragging that he spent more than 15 billion American dollars, not Naira, on power. Where is the power? Where is the power? And now we have to pay the debts.”

The former President, who backed Mr. Buhari’s election in 2015, but who has since turned one of the fiercest critics of the administration, has now shot back through a statement by his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi.

In the statement emailed to PREMIUM TIMES, Mr. Obasanjo described Mr. Buhari’s claim as ignorant, and unsubstantiated.

The former president said, “It has come to the attention of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo that a statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari, apparently without correct information and based on ignorance, suggested that $16 billion was wasted on power projects by “a former President”.

“We believe that the President was re-echoing the unsubstantiated allegation against Chief Obasanjo by his own predecessor but one.

“While it is doubtful that a President with proper understanding of the issue would utter such, it should be pointed out that records from the National Assembly had exculpated President Obasanjo of any wrong-doing concerning the power sector and has proved the allegations as false.

“For the records, Chief Obasanjo has addressed the issues of the power sector and the allegations against him on many occasions and platforms, including in his widely publicised book, My Watch in which he exhaustively stated the facts and reproduced various reports by both the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which conducted a clinical investigation into the allegations against Chief Obasanjo, and the Ad-Hoc Committee on the Review of the Recommendations in the Report of the Committee on Power on the Investigation into how the Huge Sums Of Money was Spent on Power Generation, Transmission And Distribution between June 1999 and May 2007 without Commensurate Result.

“We recommend that the President and his co-travellers should read Chapters 41, 42, 43 and 47 of My Watch for Chief Obasanjo’s insights and perspectives on the power sector and indeed what transpired when the allegation of $16 billion on power projects was previously made. If he cannot read the three-volume book, he should detail his aides to do so and summarise the chapters in a language that he will easily understand.

“In the same statement credited to the President, it was alleged that there was some bragging by Chief Obasanjo over $16 billion spent on power. To inform the uninformed, the so-called $16 billion power expenditure was an allegation against Chief Obasanjo’s administration and not his claim.

“The President also queried where the power generated is. The answer is simple: The power is in the seven National Integrated Power Projects and eighteen gas turbines that Chief Obasanjo’s successor who originally made the allegation of $16 billion did not clear from the ports for over a year and the civil works done on the sites.

“Chief Obasanjo challenges, and in fact encourages, anybody to set up another enquiry if in doubt and unsatisfied with the EFCC report and that of the Hon. Aminu Tambuwal-led ad-hoc committee.”

NYSC Rejects Illiterate Graduates Of Enugu University (ESUT)

Three “graduates” of Enugu State University of Science and Technology mobilized to participate in the National Youth Service Corps scheme have shown lack of competence and intelligence level expected of genuine degree holders.

According to documents obtained by ESUT NEWS ONLINE, the three “graduates,” who are serving in ABUJA, Lagos and KOGI states respectively, were rejected, with formal letters sent to the state coordinators by their areas of primary assignment and forwarded to the NYSC headquarters in Abuja.

The Director General of NYSC, had informed the NUC of the presence of corps members who displayed “glaring lack of academic ability and intelligence level expected of genuine Nigerian graduates, which were consistently exhibited by the three students from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology.”

Attaching copies of letters from NYSC secretariats in Abuja, Lagos and Kogi, “As contained in the reports, the corps members exhibited signs of incompetence and low intelligence level which range from inability to complete registration formats correctly to not being able to teach pupils at nursery school level.

These inadequacies led to their rejections by their employers in their various states of deployment.”

The case, according to an insider’s account, has baffled the National Universities Commission (NUC) and prompted the setting up of a committee to “verify the integrity of the degrees,” and find out if there was collaboration by the university.

Federal education authorities are suspecting a wide-ranging scam that might have been going on for years.

To unravel how the three corps members were mobilised, the NUC has already set up a panel, comprising officials of NYSC, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the State Security Service (SSS).

The mandate of the panel, according to a letter dated September 24, 2012 signed by NUC Director of Quality Assurance, Professor C.F. Mafiana, “is to fully investigate the report with a view to identifying the culprits, including others similarly mobilised and their collaborators, and ensuring sanctions accordingly.

The team would be chaired by a visiting professor in the NUC.”

Out of the three corps members, Jane could hardly write the Roman figures from one to 10 in words, just as she could not write three states and their capitals.

She could not provide the names of two major rivers in Nigeria, just as she failed to name three countries that share border with Nigeria.

Obioma, according to the documents, was rejected by Kings College, Lagos, after it was discovered that she was grossly incompetent to perform her duties.

A further test on her by the Lagos state NYSC secretariat revealed that though a graduate of Electricals/Electronics, she never passed any of the science subjects at the secondary school level.

The third fellow, John, who was posted to Abuja, was rejected by a nursery/primary school known as FEMA Schools because of his inability to read and write.

Having been rejected by two employers, he had to be reposted by Abuja NYSC to a bakery, pending the final determination of his case by the NYSC national headquarters.

When queried on his incompetence, John proved his incompetence when he responded in writing: ‘“I awarded a degree in Enugu State University of Science and Technology I have a probeam in my university am manegn my siefe to funsh my school.””

A source disclosed on Friday that members of the panel would soon commence probing the circumstances under which the “graduates” were released by the university to participate in the NYSC scheme.

Possible Reasons Why your CV has being dumped by Employers

Have you ever wondered why the tens or even hundreds of jobs that you have sent out applications for, had no positive results? Now you are about to find out why!
The truth is writing your CV requires expertise.
The manner and process of sending the CV also do not take exemption to this – it requires proficiency. If not done aright, the results may be the same when not done at all. And this makes up the reasons why many job-seekers’ CV are dumped, day in, day out. From the premise above, the following below are thus the nine specific reasons why your CV is being dumped and you are never called for the next phase;
1. Errors in Grammar and Spelling
Errors in Grammar and Spelling is no doubt one of the most reasons why many job-seekers’ CVs are dumped. The truth is, it’s expected and in fact mandatory for a supposed degree holder to be able to construct a CV without spelling or grammatical errors. One of the most fundamental qualities that employers look for in candidates is the ability to pay attention to details – tiny and every detail. So, it is assumed that if a job-seeker finds it difficult to construct his or her CV without having spelling and grammatical errors, then that job-seeker may not be able to pay attention to details of job-tasks. Therefore, before you submit your CV, go through over and again. If possible, give to a friend or an expert to review before sending out. Truth is, you may probably not see some things that they are going to see. This is because you wrote it yourself and would easily assume it’s error-free until someone else vets it.
2. Bad Formatting
When we talk about formatting, we mean generally the style a document takes. It cuts across the sizes and themes of font of your document wordings; when to use bold, italics, underline and most especially the proper use of bullets. The truth is, all of the above have a way of distinguishing your CV from that of other Job Candidates. The appropriate font size is 10-12, while the appropriate font styles are Arial, Calibri and Time New Romans. Everything cannot be written in Bold, it should be used as headings or sub-headings and in some cases for emphasis. You should also state some activities in bullet point, no one has the time to read long and boring write-ups. Only the important ones should be stated and stated with bullets.
Also, before submitting an application, it’s appropriate that you convert from Word to PDF format, unless otherwise specified. This is because some of the formatting you used may change when the recruiter opens your CV with his or her own tool. With PDF, your content will not adjust haphazardly.
3. Poor Structure and Arrangement
When we talk about structure, we mean the manner in which the CV is arranged into various sections and each content being in the appropriate place. You should not just put your contents together haphazardly, or just based on how you feel - It should be well arranged. It should be organized into various categories and each sub-category having its own arrangement too. For example, only information in the Header should be there, things in education or experience should not be there. They all should have their own place.
4. Too Much Personal Information
The truth is your CV should only reflect things that are in one way or the other related to your being hired. Any other thing there is only but sheer distraction and may hinder your opportunity of a potential employment. You should state only professional things, not information about your background that will not give you a competitive edge over others. Nobody cares about the position you are among your father’s children except it is indirectly related to a quality that you think might help sell you more.
5. No Email Subject
This is definitely a bad habit. It starts just from the mail you send to your friends and gradually creeps into professional mails you send for job applications. How do you think an employer can recognize your job application amongst a pool of other candidates when you did not use a subject? There may be so many roles available in their firm at that point in time or may even offer other services. So the only way, they are able to recognize your mail as one sent for a job, is if the mail’s subject is well tailored to that effect.
6. Unprofessional Email Address
Many job-seekers do not know that this is one of the reasons why their CVs are dumped. They fill in ridiculous email address in their CV or send an application with it. Email addresses such as Sexy4Jessica@gmail.com, Evans_Fineboy2002@gmail.com and etc. These types of mail addresses are unprofessional and as a matter of fact ridiculous. The appropriate kind of mail address should take your first name and surname. For example firstname_surname@domainname.com. E.g. Evans_David@yahoo.com or Evandavid@gmail.com or Evansdavid1@gmail.com. These are more appropriate.
7. No Accompanying Cover Letter
This has been said over and again. Your CV should not be sent alone in a Job application. No matter how well written or professional-driven your CV is, if it is not accompanied by a cover letter, it is likely to be dumped. It’s as good as sending a TV set to someone without the accompanying it with documents like invoice, receipt or even the TV manual along. A cover letter should always accompany your CV as that is what they will even see first. A CV without a cover letter is like an empty mail.
8. Unsellable Content of Cover Letter
As stated above, your Cover letter is often what the recruiter comes across before your CV. So if it is not well written, in a way that is tailored to the role or best sells your strengths to the recruiter, tendencies are that your CV will be dumped. Pay more attention to your Cover letter as much as you do to your CV. The reason that if the recruiter comes in contact with your cover letter before your CV, if it is not well written, your CV may eventually be dumped.
9. Ineligibility/Un-qualification for Position
As obvious as this is, many job-seekers still fall for this. Some think it’s like a “try your luck” game or a trial and error activity where if one doesn’t work, the other will. But the opposite is quite the case. Application for jobs should be focused and specific. People who get their CVs to meet a recruiter are people who apply with specificity in the jobs advertised. You cannot be an entry level accountant applying for the position of a senior level web developer. It doesn’t follow, your CV will definitely be dumped.
Conclusion
From all that was stated above, if you do not want your CV to be dumped like that of any random applicant, then you must be intentional. You must be intentional about your CV content. Put things that sells your strength more than it exposes your weaknesses. Apply for CV rewrite services also to get professional contents that can distinguish you for other job-seekers. If you want to end previous events from recurring, then you probably will have to give it a new approach.

IF YOU WANT TRUE HAPPINESS IN YOUR LIFE ; Learn to ignore & overlook Many things

*Learn to ignore and overlook many things if you truly want happiness in life  because the easiest way to a miserable life is to think that everybody is talking about you.*

*Never allow anyone to steal your joy from you.*

*What people say behind your back is none of your business as long as you are true to yourself. Never worry yourself about that.*

*Sometimes minding your own business does not keep people out of your business.*

*No matter your situation in life people will always talk. You can never stop people from talking about you, what you can do is to stop giving them what to talk about.*

*There is a time limit for every rumor in life. Never allow freelance broadcasters put your life on hold. Do what makes you happy. Anyone who cannot feel your pain, has no right to judge you in life. Seventy percent of those who talk bad about you behind your back, wish to be like you.*

*When people can't be like you they try to bring you down and condemn what you have. Those without money will sarcastically say money is not everything in life. (Is poverty anything?)*

*Never allow anyone to put you in a position of depression and self pity in life. Those whose life has no joy will always find every means to remove happiness from other people's life.*

*If there is the GRACE of GOD in your life, then enemies are inevitable. If no one has ever gossiped or talked bad about you, it means nothing good has ever happened to you.*

*Never feel bad when old friends become new enemies. They are just tired of pretending to be friends.*

*Never allow the opinions of people who didn't see your tears stop your laughter in life. 😬You don't owe anybody an explanation to be happy.*

*Never see yourself through the eyes of those who don't value you.*
*To be beautiful means to be yourself. To stand out is to be outstanding. You do not need to be accepted by others. You just need to accept yourself.*

*Never beg anyone to accept you for who you are. Anything you acquire through begging will require begging to maintain or retain.*

*Be humble but selective. Being selective doesn't mean you are arrogant or proud. It simply means you know your worth. If you are conscious of your personality avoid too much familiarity.*

*Sometimes when you treat people too much like celebrities, they end up treating you like an ordinary person. You are equally important.*

*Never downgrade yourself while trying to upgrade anybody in life. Anyone who sees you like an option doesn't deserve to be a priority in your life.*

*The dream of a fool is for everybody to become a bloody fool like himself.  Avoid negative people if you have a dream. Those without mission will say your vision is just an illusion.*

*Negative minds will never give you a positive life. Anyone who is always reminding you about what is wrong with you has a personal problem which he/she wants to take out on you.*

*Most people spend half of their entire life analysing the faults in other people's life, when their own lives need urgent repairs.*

*Never worry yourself about enemies and friends, because everybody in your life will eventually fall into one of the two categories.*

*Some will hate you and some will love you. Loving you or hating you are both in your favour.* *When people love you, you live peacefully and happily in their hearts,  and when people hate you, you become the landlord in their head living painfully in their brain everyday and giving them sleepless nights.*
*Be a Blessing to someone,Pass it on!*

The PDP Vs The APC

In 1999, The PDP met an economy without the likes of MTN, Airtel, Glo, Etislat, Dangote Cement, NIPP, Shoprite, privatized NEPA and many more. There were no agencies like ICPC, EFCC, to fight corruption. No regulatory agencies like NERC, NCC, PPPRA etc,. No due process or procurement Act, no UBE Act and many other laws. No Communication satellites, and many other creations of the PDP.

Bellow are brief list of PDP achievements:
**Abuja National Stadium
**Revamping of the Railway Sector
**Launching of the first Satellite into space
**Launched the first Unmanned Drone
**Built 150 Almajiri Schools Across the Northern States.
**Fought Ebola Virus to a standstill to the administration of the whole world.
**Conducted 4 different National Elections.
**Built 36 NNPC Mega Stations across the 36 States and the FCT
**Established 12 Federal Universities, 9 in some Northern State, ( Kogi, Taraba, Jigawa, Gombe, Nasarawa, Kastina, Yobe, Kebbi and Zamfara and 3 in the southern States of Ebonyi, Bayelsa and Ekiti).

**Kwara State University built by Gov Bukola Saraki of the PDP
**Niger Delta University built by Gov DSO Alamieyesigha of the PDP
**Northwest University built by Gov Kwankwaso of the PDP.

NB:
The above and many more was what the PDP gave and added to the Nigerian people and records has it that they only borrowed 6 trillions, after upsetting our National Debts from the Paris Club of Paris and other Western Financial Institutions.

The APC on the other hand has now borrowed over 11 trillions and are still borrowing, yet the only thing visible was that they spent 30 Million Dollars in the treatment of the President in London for an undisclosed illment, 5 Million Dollars for the treatment of his son in Germany and the payment of over 12 Million Dollars to Boko Haram as ramson. And APC governor has also confessed to have paid the Fulani Herdsmen billion of Naira to stop killing local farmers.

Nigerians, judge for yourselves.

Nigerians, let's get our country back.
